I tried the recipe for roast chicken recently. It was the first recipe i had tried from the book and cetainly the first time i had cooked all year. Well, it was easy to follow and yeilded one seriously delicious bird! The success of my first ever sunday roast is undoubtedly thanks to the simplicity of Manuela's recipe without which i would have been lost. Judging by the characters in the books photographs i am well within the intended audience and was impressed that with a list of ingredients so easy to come by (most of which i already had in the fridge) i could come up with something that tasted so sophisticated. I expect my copy will be quite dog-eared by the end of the year as im keen to try my hand at every page. Thankyou Manuela for resuing this student from take-away and ramen noodles!
