hi Manuela
I have just finished reading Under the Olive Tree and i was inspired by everything, but perhaps mostly by your description of your beloved mother. I am a young mother, in Syd Australia and I really want to create the magical childhood you experienced, yet I don't feel that many young women of my time consider this a reasonable (arguably essential) option, instead feeling they need to get back to their 'real job'. It is so joyful for me to have the mirror of your mother and a different way of life presented to me in this book - thankyou! |

Dear SJG
I am so happy to hear that I could inspire you especially to bring back the importance of family life. Children are such little sponges when observing adults interact and I think that the most precious gift you can give them is your time.
It sounds to me that you have already started the magic for them. Well done! |
