Yes, it's going ahead this year!
We will be having a Halloween Party in Holden Park, Oakworth on Saturday 1st November 2008. And it's free!
Start time will be 4.30pm and close is 7.30 pm.
The caves and grottoes will be all lit up and we will be decorating them up with a Halloween feel.
We would like all the children to dress up in spooky costumes and have some fun in the park. There will be a fancy dress competiton and spot prizes will be given out on the evening. More details will be published in the next few weeks in local news and around the village. It is a free event but we'd be very pleased to accept any donations for our work improving and conserving this beautiful and unique park.
We didn't run the event last year simply because of a lack of helpers on the day, but we are determined that this will not happen again. Everyone was so disappointed last year that we didn't run this event.
So, what we desperately need is volunteers to help on the day, helping us to dress up the caves and helping to take it all down afterwards. If you can spare just an hour that would be great. Even if you can come along and make a few cups of tea and coffee for the other volunteers it would be of great help. We have tea and coffee making facilities already and we'd love to see you. The more the merrier!

Details will be posted nearer the time on the main Oakworth Village website so watch this space in the next few weeks.
This is a community cohesion event kindly sponsored by Bradford M. D. Council's Keighley Area Panel and Bradford Parks and Landscape Service.
We thank them for their generous support for this event. |
